Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises Hassan Zareer, accompanied by senior officials of the Ministry, met with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank led by Director General for the South Asia Department, Ms. Sona Shrestha, and Regional Head of the Regional Cooperation and Integration Unit, Dr. Thiam Hee Ng.

The meeting focused on the Asian Development Bank’s ongoing programme in the Maldives, the country’s strategic development priorities, and opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between the Government of Maldives and the Asian Development Bank. During the discussions, Director General Ms. Sona reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to supporting the Maldives’ sustainable and inclusive development agenda.
